The first seven series of the UTIS were held at Yıldız Technical University in 2009, Selçuk University in 2010, Gazi University in 2012, Ege University in 2013, Uludag University in 2014, Sabancı University in 2015 and Marmara University in 2016.
As of 2017, UTIS was transferred to a more professional management and is now managed by the UTIS Steering Committee.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the last UTIS was held online in 2021.
Finally, UTIS 2024 will be held in person in Antalya.
